The Carson Tahoe Health Foundation is pleased to announce the date for HopeFest7, a free outdoor concert with headliner, Tyrone Wells. All proceeds from food, drink, and raffle tickets sales directly benefit local cancer patients undergoing lifesaving medical treatments, providing support for basic needs that go beyond the hospital walls.
Families struggling with cancer shouldn’t have to worry about losing their home or not having enough gas to drive to receive cancer treatment.
The Carson Tahoe Health Foundation has helped to establish and maintain housing for cancer patients and their family members in the Merriner Cottages. The Foundation also assists with necessities such as gas cards to get to treatment, insurance co-pays, and lifesaving medications, to lessen the financial burden of families who are already facing such a devastating diagnosis. Since 2011, the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation has provided over $439,000 in direct patient support.
Tyrone Wells is a singer/songwriter in the folk-pop genre from Spokane, Washington. His songs have been featured in television shows (Intervention, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Rescue Me, One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries) and film (Everyone's Hero, My Sister's Keeper, Rails & Ties). Wells has had the number one iTunes Singer Songwriter album and has ranked in the Top Ten iTunes overall.
Additionally, HopeFest’s annual raffle is sponsored by Dick Campagni’s Car Dealerships which have donated the choice of a new car or $10,000 as the grand raffle prize. Local favorites Q’s BBQ will be on-site with food and Shoe Tree Brewing Co. will be providing drinks for concert goers. The generosity of these event sponsors allows for 100 percent of the proceeds to directly benefit local cancer patients.
